In this video, I will share part 3 of our freelancer.com videos. In this video, we’ll discuss about fixed price projects. Where you can earn from $15 up to $200 per day. Make sure that before applying here in freelancer.com for fixed price or hourly, make sure to watch part 2 of freelancing.com after this on how to avoid scams and fake job offerings so you won’t be at the risk of being scammed. There’s a lot of scammer in this website. But we are sharing it now because there’s still legit job posting here. What are the examples of fixed pricing? This means that a client has a fixed project for a task he needed done. For example, a data entry job with $100 for that. That’s fixed price, he has a specific budget for that task. Samples of fixed projects. Let’s give an example, here’s an email offering fixed projects. So here, for 1000 email, the pay is $100. Your client might need you to mark it as read or delete if it’s not important. Your client might also ask you to put it in a folder if that email is important and your client needs to reply to it. You’ll classify emails based on your client’s preference. For example, a certain email is not important, it automatically disappears after being read because we’re in the unread folder. After opening it all and seeing they’re not important, click on mark as read because that’s the instruction that if it’s not important, mark it as read. For example that this is an important email, drag it to important then these important emails are the ones your client will check. You are sorting important ones to those that are not. That’s it as long as you clear 1000 emails you’ll get $100 for the full project. Again, depends on the deal. There’s also called Milestones that we’ll discuss later Another sample of fixed projects For example that my budget is $5 for three videos The VA (Virtual Assistant) or freelancer needs to write the procedure of these 3-minute videos. Some are 4-minute and 5-minute video. My budget is $5 for 3 videos. I asked her how long she finishes it, and she said 10 to 15 minutes each video. After finishing 3 videos, I pay her $5. Those are the samples of fixed projects. For fixed projects, click on Browse. Note, you can stay as a free member. No need to pay the membership fee. Just register first. Click on Projects Here, you can filter the search results. If you remove this, the results will change. Let’s try removing all of them there are now lots of fixed projects. These ones are for web developer. Almost all kinds of job can be fixed-price. This one for $750 to $1,500 need for a web developer. Task is to design new restaurant website and the budget for that is $750 to $1500. These are mostly for web developers. You can add your skills here so the results will match yours. This one’s email handling. This one’s email marketing. If you’re not sure of a skill to pursue yet, this one’s in-demand too. A lot is hiring for one. I need anyone that can provide me good leads from any industry and country. This is more on lead generation and not email handling. Lead generation is another topic, another skill. Looking for leads for your client. This is just a sample, it might take time to look for one. You can’t apply here because it says, “I need a Russian freelancer.” Let’s just make this job posting an example. We’ll discuss about the project details and what you need to do here. We’ll have an actual sample later of taking a project. Here’s the project detail, budget is EUR 750 to EUR 1500 Submitting proposals will end in 16 days and 14 hours. Employer is from Italy, which for me, is a good sign. Skills required: web search and Russian. If you’re not, you can’t apply here. This is the important part I want to share with you. This one is your bid, you have 8/8 bids on your account. That replenishes. Since we have full, it’s not running. Bid: EUR 867, this is the average proposal of applicants This one is a bit hard to price because of few task details. He just posted what kind of freelancer he’s looking for, he did not post the tasks that he needs to be done, like speaking in Russian — or are you to translate Russian movies — It was not specified that’s why this one is hard to bid. Again, this is just a sample. Let’s imagine that he’s looking for Tagalog speakers watching Filipino series Let’s say for EUR 800 Meaning, he’ll pay you EUR 800 for the whole project duration. This project will be delivered in (how many days you can finish) Let’s say 4 or 5 days. Describe your proposal, “I always watch Filipino TV Series” Don’t do that kind of proposal, you won’t get in if you do. This is just for video purposes. Describe your proposal. By the way, you can bookmark this so you can go back to it if you’re not yet ready to apply or have enough time, you can go back to it tomorrow or the next day. This is where he’ll decide if he’ll hire you or not. So make sure that you do a good proposal and not like what I did. Let’s now go to Milestones. This is important for fixed projects. Let’s have another example. Let’s say it’s the $100 for 1000 emails again. Milestone is like a checkpoint. 1000 emails for $100. You can divide that $100 payment You can set it to 250 emails, that once you reach that, client must release EUR 25 or USD. You can add another milestone. You can set that another 250 email, so for 500 email, another $25. It’s important that you specify the work amount you can finish that a client needs to release payment. Once he release that, it’ll go to your account. You can also set from 501 to 1000 emails, he’ll release $50. Or let’s say EUR 50 because that’s what the client set here. It’s up to you on what you want to set for Milestones. Another example for logo graphic designer or Photoshop editor. For example a client’s budget for a logo is $100 You can set $25 for 2 layouts as miletone the client will then release $25 payment. And if half of the job is done, another $25. That’s milestone, it’s like job checkpoint. Another example, if a client needs a customer service for just 5 days… He can have that as fixed project You can set your first day (8 hours) as milestone for $25 Then on your 2nd day (8 hours), another $25. So you’re the one setting the milestones. And clients will have to approve that. You don’t have to tick any of these boxes. Let’s go back to proposal at the top. You can see the other freelancers who proposed for this project. It also shows the rate that they bid for it. This one is important, paid to you $100. This is what the client will be charged on. This is the freelancer.com fee Once you finish this projecct, you’ll get EUR 90 You’ll see here your income and freelancer.com’s fee. Let’s for example set our bid to this project as EUR 1000 freelancer.com’s fee is EUR 100 So you’ll get EUR 900 Freelancer.com’s fee is 10% Once you’re good with your milestone, bid, and proposal your bid will go here to proposals. This is an actual example that a client accepted your bid. You’ll get notified via chat here at the bottom part. Just click on Accept After clicking Accept, this is what you’ll see. This is the ones available earlier There’s now tab for payments, files, and tasks. If your job includes files needed to be done, you’ll upload it here in Files. If you’re a photo editor, this is where you’ll upload files you finished. If you’re a video editor or motion files editor, this is also where you’ll upload it, in Files. Here in Task, you’ll see bulleted list of tasks you need to finish. You can see here the milestones we did earlier upon application. For example here, I did two milestones. So for $100, there’s only two milestones for 50 each. For 1 to 500 emails, $50 501 to 1000 emails, another $50 Those are the two milestones. Once you’re accepted, chat with the client about instructions and login details. Talk about login, account that you’ll use. You’ll talk about those in this chat. You can also ask where to put files you finished doing For example, for my assistant who’s doing quick procedures for our videos, In our case, we use Trello so I told her to paste it in Trello. Once you’re accepted, you can start working right away This one’s a different example from 2017 Just imagine that this is $50 both. Once you reach your first milestone, you can request for that milestone to be released. Here in Payment, Request Release. Once you click that, you’ll see this Click Confirm once you finish the first milestone. After clicking that, you can see in the chat, James Tristan requested a milestone release. Client will then accept that If ever he doesn’t accept that, don’t continue working yet, that’s the purpose of milestones so before finishing the entire work, at least the first one will be paid first. So it’s better if the milestone that you will set be achieved right away so you’ll see if the client is good at paying Status released, the client accepted it already. You will also receive a chat that the client released a milestone. Here on the top right, you will see the released milestone. I forgot to tell you about why I have -$5 at first I only got 15 here instead of 20 I got -$5 but I forgot why. Since the first milestone has been released already, Proceed to the next milestone For example, starting the 501 to 1000 emails After finishing another milestone, just request for another milestone to be released again. Same process, wait confirmation from the client, once you said yes, it’ll go to your account. You’ll see on the top-right it says complete. Since you’re done with the whole task, you can now withdraw your earnings. You will see your current balance, your whole freelancer.com earnings here. These are the withdrawal methods available express withdrawal, PayPal, and they also have Skrill I haven’t done our video about Skrill yet, but we’ll do.
